What makes them different is their sound processing philosophies and hardware design approaches. Simply put, these philosophies can range from very ‘open sounding’ to ‘processed sounding’ which benefit different users in different ways.

Why do hearing clinics focus on certain manufacturers over others? Clinics may choose to focus on specific manufacturers in order to provide better service or prices to their clients. Each manufacturer provides training specific to their products and as you can imagine, specializing in a select few benefits the clients’ whose hearing aid success depends heavily on the expertise of their hearing healthcare provider. Individual hearing healthcare providers may also have had continued success with their clients with certain manufacturers creating ongoing loyalty in their products.

In addition to new hearing aids, we also provide service to Phonak, Signia, ReSound or Jabra hearing aids that may have been purchased elsewhere. Open Fit Hearing Aid

The most discreet hearing aid if visibility is a concern

Similar to a Behind the Ear hearing aid but much smaller

Often referred to as Receiver-in-the-Canal or Receiver-in-the-Ear

Fits over the ear with a small slim tubing attached which reduces visibility of the hearing aid

Excellent for individuals with normal to mild hearing losses in the low frequencies with a mild to severe hearing loss in the high frequencies

Small soft plastic domes sits in the ear canal which allows for natural sound to filter through without feeling “plugged up”
